Autumn
14
In the summer my leaves were green, now they are turning
Red
Orange and
In the Autumn the wind blows away the heat and dust of summer
and my leaves dance and sway on my branches.
Sometimes the wind blows gently, and sometimes fiercely in the Autumn.
There are gusts of wind followed by stillness.
One day Mother Nature decides that its time for her trees to let go of their leaves
When the leaves fall they make a colourful blanket on the earth.
A gust of wind stirs the blanket of leaves
One is tossed in one direction
Then another
And another
Sometimes leaves are picked up and carried by the wind
Finally they come to rest on the earth, providing food for plants and insects.
A beautiful coloured blanket made by nature
I am an Autumn tree with bare branches
I will rest through winter until spring comes
