Shelter

Today we are going to go for an adventure in natureshelter-movement-1.jpg

To see all the different shelters

Umbrellas provide shelter for the sun and the rain.

Many animals burrow in the earth to find their shelter.movement-shelt5er-2.jpg

Some animals keep their babies down here so they can be safe and warm

Lets be wombat and echidnas

Making our new homes

Lets snuggle up in our cosy burrows

Logs and rocks also provide shelter for many insects and bugs

Lets look under this log and see what we can find.shelter-oscar-close.jpg

I wonder who is sheltering under here.shelter-movement-frank-close.jpg

These creatures are scurrying off to find their new home.

Now I am a big strong tall tree with long branches and leaves to shelter many animals insects and bugs

Birds build their nests in me to shelter.

People also shelter under me from the sun and the rain.

Oh look theres a leaf

I wonder whats sheltering under here?

It’s a caterpillar!

Now we are going to be snails.

Snails carry their shells on their back for shelter.

And when they are ready they will peak out at the world

Other animals like hermit crabs tortoises and turtles also keep their homes on their backs.

I wonder what shelter you will find today.
